COURSE NAME: REO 101 REAL ESTATE LAW
Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
Students will learn the essentials of Real Estate Law. Upon completion of this course students will be able to: 1) define the procedures of real estate laws including ethical and professional issues, and identify reasons for suspension or revocation of a real estate license, 2) explain the relationship between the practice of law and real estate and legislation affecting real estate brokers and agency relationships, 3) discuss the deceptive trade practices as it affects the real estate agent and the duties and obligations of the client, customer, and agent, and 4) explain the fiduciary relationship between the principal and the agent including the duties and obligations owed the principal by the agent and vice versa.
