Course Description (Detailed Syllabus is released upon registration)
This is a hands-on training and test preparation course on networking. The training and test overview will equip students to: 1) describe wireless network concepts including ad hoc wireless network, infrastructure wireless network, and wireless networks and media access, 2) explain WAN implementation including private wide area networks (WANs) and public WANs, topologies used by WANs, and leased lines for a WAN and Multi-Protocol Label, 3) summarize virtual LANs and switching including the advantages of virtual LANs (VLANs) and VLANs configuration, and broadcast and collision domains, 4) define and outline access control lists including access control list (ACL) and traffic restriction, access lists and single interface, and 5) describe network management and network time protocol (NTP) including time drift, authoritative time sources, and differences between slam and slew in correcting time.

Course Grading and Policies
Points from: Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Classroom Discussion, and Course Portfolio are factors in grade point calculation.
Pass = 60% and above; Fail = 59% and below.
Late Assignment Policy: If unable to complete assignments or tests on time, please contact your instructor before the due dates. Assignments or tests submitted after the due date without appropriate excuse and pre-approval will receive a zero score.
Award Upon Completion
The student will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
